I have just started restoring my Rudolf Schuler Classical Period Harpsichord. This is a unique opportunity to won a unique Harpsichord. This Cabinet Harpsichord has a classical compass keyboard, so you can play late Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven, something you cannot do with a regular Harpsichord. This has been inspired by Broadwood and Kirkman Harpsichords of the very late 18th and very early 19 century's. THIS IS NOT A REVIVALIST HARPSICHORD, BUT BUILT ON ORIGINAL PRINCIPALS. It is also unique because not only does it have 8' 4 registers, and buffs, it also has an extra set of jacks so one plays near the bridge for a more nasal sound, whilst the other plays nearer the soundboard for a more plummy, sweeter sound. Basically a 2 manual with one manual. This is also unique in that it has knee lever so you can change the sound without using your hands. That is the same as Early Fortepianists specialists would do. THIS WOULD SUITE AN EARLY FORTEPIANIST SPECIALIST. This Harpsichord has a lovely sweet sound and is round and full, it does not have the flat neutral sound of the Italian, or the harsh arrogant sound of the French. It is perfectly suited to Early Piano Music and is totally authentic. The finish will also consist of Classic Gold Guild, and Red Gold Guild for highlight. But being made of Cherry, it will be finished natural, as Cherry does not stain well, and looks better natural. The amount of work and the Harpsichord itself should be in the region of 3K. However I am only looking for a fraction of that or a trade would be preferable.
